Three generations of motoring excellence
Halley Abbot is not only a brand but also a dynasty. A family whose history has been intertwined with motor cars and engineering for a century.
In 1922 at the age of sixteen, Anthony’s grandfather Thomas started his motor engineering apprenticeship in Perth Scotland. His son John Halley Abbot had a long illustrious career owning, restoring and selling exclusive sports cars ending up as the ‘go to’ expert on Porsche in South Africa.
With motor cars written deep in his DNA, and having completed his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, it was no surprise that Anthony ended up working in championship-winning teams in Formula One for over a decade.
On leaving the hi-tech world of Formula One, he decided to honour his heritage and forge a path on the new frontier - electric vehicles. Combining his great love of classic cars and cutting-edge technology, the Halley Abbot brand was born. An engineering consultancy that is not afraid to think outside the box and use traditional techniques in a revolutionary way.
